Meet Sensei Alex R. Thomas
Over 25 years of expert training informed by a lifetime of martial arts and advocacy.

Sensei Alex R. Thomas is a 2nd-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do with over 25 years of experience in the Omaha area. His martial arts journey began at age 12 with Judo, where he qualified for the AAU Regional Junior Olympics. Since then, he has dedicated his life to teaching and refining practical self-defense.
While his primary teaching rank is in Tae Kwon Do, his approach to personal safety is informed by extensive training in several other disciplines:
- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Ground Fighting
- Boxing and Jeet Kune Do (JKD)
- Krav Maga, Kali (Escrima), and Combat Cane

- Proven Impact: His expertise has been shared with the community as a guest instructor for the Munroe-Meyer Institute Summer Program.
